At long last, Grace, Chapter Thirteen, pages 01 and 02 are up.
I was hoping to have another page or two ready to post, but instead I will just try and do two page updates for the entire chapter. You don’t want to be reading this one through Halloween, now do ya?
So today is my 41st birthday. Oh boy.
Today is also the 2nd anniversary of Grace. Oh boy!
A big thank you to everyone who reads my humble little online graphic novel thingy. I appreciate each and every one of you.
Unfortunately, even though I said there would be, there will not be a Grace update this week. I know, I know. But sometimes there are things more important to do than draw comics.
Pages are in progress, though, and I hope to finally start Chapter 13 next weekend. And, oh, are ya’ll in for a treat! If anyone has wondered what it would be like to go on a date with me, well, Chapter 13 should satisfy such a curiosity. It is not pretty, let me tell you, Bub.
Grace will be a bit delayed. The weather this weekend has been very hot and, more importantly, very humid. Ink and humidity just do not mix. And to make drawing conditions even less favorable, it has been raining quite heavily as well. The pages of Grace waiting to be inked are on my desk and the paper is curling up from the moisture in the air. So, no update until things dry out a bit. My plan is to post a couple of pages over the course of the week as well as a new update over the weekend.
In other Grace news, I now have an end date for the project in sight! I spent these last few weeks thumbing out the remaining chapters so I could get a final page count and see how far I have left. The total number of pages is 152. This week I am working on pages 107 and 108. That means Grace will finish up around…
This time next year.
Well, probably sooner. I plan to post the final chapter completed, not serialized. And of course there will be weeks where I post more than one page, but the end is in sight! It was quite fun and satisfying thumbnailing some of the later scenes and seeing that they work. I can’t wait to ink them!
I’m going to see if the pages are uncurling yet.
