Grace returns next week.
comics, illustration, words, pictures

Stuff I Like About Portland:
Zupans! Probably my favorite grocery store ever.
Noho’s! The plate lunches are all great, but it’s the macaroni salad that would make me seriously consider relocating here.
Powell’s! A no-brainer. Every time I go I think I’m not impressed and then I score some incredible book. This trip? The Monster at the End of this Book.
Parking! It’s weird being in a city and being able to find a parking spot less than a block from where you want to go any time of day.
No sales tax! Hello, I’m from Chicago where the sales tax is being raised to like a billion percent.
The weather! I really like the cool temps and cloudy skies.
Stuff I Don’t Like About Portland:
You can’t pump your gas! Dude, get away from my car.
Bridges! Just how many ways do you need to cross the river?
So many freakin’ white people! The lack of diversity is unnerving.
The weather! Today it was sunny, then windy, then some sleet pelted me, it cleared up a bit, then a downpour drenched me. And that all occurred in the time it took me to walk from the door to my rental car.
Grace, Chapter Eleven, page 18 is up.
And with that, Chapter Eleven concludes. I know I said there were two pages left to this chapter, but as I was inking them I realized that they were, well, not all that necessary. I’m much happier with this closing page. But I’m also disappointed. This is the 99th page of the book. If I had stuck with the two pages I would have hit the 100 mark. Oh, well. That honor is left for page one of Chapter Twelve.
Anyway, as I head off to the Pacific Northwest for a bit of R&R, Grace is on hiatus for the month of March. Chapter Twelve will begin on April 5. See y’all then.
